He was Rejected 1,000,000 Times on Traditional Dating Apps

If you've ever used traditional dating apps, chances are you've faced rejection and failed matching more than a few times.

And according to a study done in 2016, this is especially true if you are a man.

This study, done by researchers in the UK, found that men had a 0.6% match rate on dating apps, compared to women, who had a 10.5% match rate.*

But matching isn't the only issue. There are countless reports of men who match with someone, only to be rejected through conversation, or a lack of response from women.

In this article, we will explore the issues that many men face on traditional dating apps, while looking at one user in particular who was essentially rejected over 1 million times!

The Physical Pain of Rejection

In an article we published on our site, titled Ease the Pain of Social Rejection with FrostyWave, we went in-depth on the science behind facing frequent rejecting.

According to research, the same parts of our brain that are active when enduring physical pain are also active when enduring some form of social rejection.

Yes, this means that it literally hurts to get rejected.

The brain lights up this way in order to tell us to stop a risky behavior, like putting your hand on a fire, for example.

However, is asking a girl "Hi, how are you?" truly the same as putting your hand on a fire? According to the brain, does this mean that men should stop asking women about their day?

We can see how this brain chemistry may start to shape behavior in a negative way when faced with frequent social rejection.

1 Million Rejections

In a video posted by popular YouTuber, Asmongold, titled This Guy was Rejected 1,009,555 Times in a Row, he looks at a post on X about a man who was rejected 1 million times on a dating app:

The post had an analytical summary of the man's statistics on the dating app, showing how many swipes he had, how many matches he had, his total chats, as well as how many actual dates he had from the app.

As stated by Asmongold in the video, this man looks like a "nice guy", which is to say that nothing negative seems to stand out about him when looking at his picture.

Therefore, the results of this analytical report are quite shocking.

The Final Results

According to this report, this man swiped right over 1 million times over a 3 year period of being on the app, and received only 719 matches from those swipes.

If we do the math, that is a shocking 0.07% match rate. But that's not all.

Out of those 719 matches, he only had 217 chats with women. The rest he either did not approach, or the women did not respond to him.

So doing the math again, out of approximately 1,000,000 swipes, this man only chatted with 217 women. That gives him a 0.02% success rate of even chatting with women on the app.

Going even further, out of those 217 chats, this man only went on 1(!) date with a woman.

So essentially (and unbelievably), he only went out on 1 date from 1,000,000 swipes on this app, over a 3 year period.

Ouch.

Goodbye Rejection, Hello FrostyWave

The results of this analytical report detailed in this video only reiterate the fact that male users generally face an overwhelming amount of rejection and failed conversations on traditional dating apps.

For this man to have these type of results on an app which is supposed to make it easier for people to have relationships is a disservice to the beauty of meaningful connection and relations amongst humans, which is something we have always longed for as a species.

That's why we've built a platform that supports meaningful connections while minimizing the risk of rejection for men, leveraging the power of AI and proven research in behavioral Psychology.

When men sign up to our platform, they fill out a questionnaire and based on their personality and preferences, AI will match them with girls who they have the highest chances of having a meaningful conversation with, and potentially a meaningful relationship with.

Girls also fill out a questionnaire and additionally go through the AI screening.

Only the girls that are seen as objectively attractive will be approved to join the platform. This methodology enables us to dramatically increase the likelihood that men will be satisfied with their matches.

Our current statistic is that 90% of matches lead to meaningful conversations.

Why are the girls so engaged and responsive?

The matching is handled by AI, which operates on vast amounts of data including individual profiles and behavioral psychology research.

This significantly improves match reliability compared to the average 6-second swiping that often focuses only on photos.

Girls are only texted by men that the AI has matched them with, increasing their willingness to engage in conversation.

So, what are you waiting for?
